More for Abby

Well we went to Primary Children's again this week and they did more labs and they came back excellent. The liver functions are improving and all the other numbers are continuing to decline. We were so happy to get such great results. We also did an other ultra sound on Friday. The results weren't as good. The liver is still enlarged and the pancreas is still swollen, and the gall bladder is full of fluid. So we don't know if those organs will just take more time to go down or of there is still something causing the problem. We pray for some better answers but the results we have found are all good news. She is also feeling really good which makes us feel comfortable with the outcome this far.

ABBY UPDATE!!!

We got some good news today with her lab results. Her bilirubin has improved and she does look at lot less yellow. And also her AST and ALT labs which are enzymes in the liver have improved. We still don't know what she has or how she got it but we are hoping to get more answers on Thursday. The other labs we were told can take weeks to show improvement. She is such a sweet girl and today she was so hungry. She hasn't had much of an appetite for about three weeks but today she was starving(so she said) all day. We were getting the car washed today and she asked mommy are we done yet because I am so hungry. I told her I was almost finished. Then she said I am so hungry can we go get a hamburger and fries. It was only 10:00am. I told her we were going home and she could have a snack and she was thrilled. I am so grateful to have such an amazing family and friends. I can't believe how many people have called, visited, or sent something for Abby. Thanks so much everyone. I know that the Lord is watching over Abby and is giving me the strength each day to help me accomplish all I need to do in a day.

Abby

Well, I'm not sure how to start. Abby has not been feeling well for about 3 weeks. She first went to the doctor for a rash and they said it was strep, and then her eyes started to look funny and we went to the doctor and they said that it was allergies. And then we went to the doctor because she had stomach aches, bathroom problems, and very pale. And last time we went to the doctor she was starting to turn yellow. The whites of her eyes have turned yellow and her skin is also yellow. So after her dance class on Tuesday night Dan and I took her down to Primary Children's Hospital to see if they could help us figure out what is going on with Abby. So after a few blood tests and an xray they decided they needed to run a few more tests to answer a few more questions. So she was admitted and we were told that her liver is enlarged, her pancreas is swollen, and her gall bladder is bulging which is causing the jaundice. So they scheduled her for a MRI the next day, which wasn't until 6:00pm and she couldn't eat or drink all day. That was such a hard thing to try and explain to a three year old. Anyway they thought that they would find a gall stone which is blocking everything but that wasn't the case. So they said until more blood work is done they are not sure what is causing the problems. So they sent us home. We did some blood work on Friday and her levels went up again so we are praying that the levels will go down on Monday. We are not sure exactly what will happen after that. I know that the Lord blesses us each and everyday. And I just ask that each of you will ask for Abby to be blessed.
