Anti-Drug and Alcohol Rally

Tonight we went to the Anti-Drug and Alcohol Rally to support Dan. He was one of the speakers on drugs. He did a great job and we are so proud of the example and all the hard work he does for our family and also the community. He has been so busy lately and we have missed him at home. I try to take the kids to the events he's involved in so the boys can learn and appreciate all that he does. I took pictures but he doesn't want them posted on the blog(safety he says, he's not a huge fan of the blogging).
I don' think that police officers gets the credit, pay, or recognition they deserve. But it is such a huge pat on the back when your child thinks that you are the strongest, or the bravest, or the super hero they look up to.

Britton starts 2nd Grade!

Britton started 2nd grade today and was so excited. He picked a Hulk backpack and chose the outfit for the first day. He woke up at 6:45am and was completely ready for school by 7:15am. He was so excited to see all his friends and see his new class. We are happy with the teacher he got and hope that all goes well this school year.

Britton loved his shoes.
He is growing up so fast. He is such a good big brother.

The kids were so sad to have him gone all day. Abby walked around the house yelling, Bubba, Bubba(Britton's nickname). We wish that he could just be home with us but he loves to go to school.

The Perfect End to a GREAT Summer!!!

We went camping at Willows Campground in South Fork. We had such a great time. The kids could just play and get dirty. We went to the stream and they played in the water, took a couple walks, explored, threw and collected rocks, made bow and arrows, made crowns out of leaves, had a nice camp fire, and of course roasted marshmallows. We sat by the fire and sang a few songs and read. It was such a peaceful and relaxing weekend. The boys had so much fun and Abby was right along with them. She would just sit down no matter where she was and play in the dirt.
The boys played in the bushes and tried being camouflaged.

Abby loved the fire and was very good about not getting to close.

Bryson and Parker loved helping build the fire.

Daddy and his sweet Abby.

The boys had their exploring backpacks and found the best cave to play in.

The kids with their bows Dan made them.

Parker leaping from rock to rock.

Abby couldn't stay clean. Look at that hair.

The water was freezing but that didn't stop Bryson.

Britton was a little to daring, he made Dan so nervous.

The kids all relaxing by our tent.

Our campsite. The picture isn't too good but it was a perfect spot.

Hill Air Force Museum!!

Our future pilot.

The simplest things bring such great joy.
The Favorite Plane.
All the kids lined up.
Every time we passed a helicopter they would say is this like Uncle Brian's.

We had a great time at the Hill Air Force Museum. The boys have been so many times but it was my first time to go. They had a lot of fun looking and reading about the different planes and their missions. The inside part was great also, the boys thought that some of the flight suits looked like darth vador. The kids activity room was a lot of fun too. We are so grateful for all those who have served and continue to serve. When the boys realized that some of the men and women in the stories were killed they asked a lot more questions and felt so bad for them. I'm glad we have a place so close to home that can teach the kids but also make it interesting and fun. Thanks Cassie, Carter, Hallie, Ellie and Ethan for going with us.

Fun at Bear Lake!!!

The Cabin and the view from the cabin's deck

Four kids = four times the fun

We get to go to Bear Lake each year with some friends from Dan's work. It is always so much fun. The kids have have a blast playing in and outside of the cabin, going to the Lake and of course getting a shake at LaBeau's. We went up on Friday and spent the day with Keith, Sherrie, Spencer and Audrey at the Lake. Then that night we went to the cabin and spent the next two days with the Norgren's and the Jeppeson's. We played games, watched movies, went for a nice little walk(it started out as a walk but turned into a hike, oops my bad), grilled and just relaxed. It was a perfect weekend. Thanks to Jason and Cyndi for the invite.

The fountains at The Gateway

We went to the Gateway and let the kids play in the fountains. They had so much fun with Carter and Hallie. We brought lunch and let the kids get a special treat. There's the boys watching the fountains during the music display.

Parker is getting a little daring.

Bryson warming up on the hot cement.

Parker said he only wanted his foot to get wet.

Abby trying to get the water.

Britton getting plastered by the large fountains.
We had a great time. Thanks Sandberg's for going with us.

Castle Park!!!

Today Parker had to get some fillings at the dentist. So I told him that if he does a good job for the dentist then we could go to Castle Park. Our dentist is so awesome, he was so patient and did and great job with Parker. Parker sat so still and let him do all the work needed. We actually had two appointments scheduled for the fillings but because he was sitting so still they were able to do all the work in one day. Hopefully we won't have anymore fillings for the next check-up. He definitely earned the park.
Parker attempting to climb the tire ladder.
Abby loves playing in the sand.
Bryson made his way to the top of the ladder.

Climbing the rock wall.

We need to make one of these at home.

Parker has discovered the swings this summer and loves them.
Bryson is the relaxer.
There's always someone to take care of Abby. Thanks boys for being such good big brothers.
We had a great time at the park. We played tag and knights(the boys were the knights and Abby and I were the Princesses). We love the summer days and wish that they weren't almost over.
